Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom;
teaching and admonishing one another
in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs,
singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Welcome to a resource on the Zion’s Harp, the hymnal compiled and used by the Evangelisch Taufgesinnten in Europe and Apostolic Christian Churches in America. Originally compiled in 1855 in German, the hymnal has traveled around the world and been translated into many different languages.
This collection of hymns provides Scriptural teachings of the new birth, spiritual warfare, obedience to Christ, deceitfulness of riches, separation from the world, cross-bearing, nonresistance, and sacrificial brotherhood. Drawn from centuries of Christian experience, the hymns provide a window into the depths of Anabaptist and Apostolic beliefs and music heritage.

Authors and Composers
Many of the authors and composers of the Zion’s Harp are unknown. Even though history does not record the names, these long-forgotten men who wrote of their love and devotion toward GOD, even on prison walls, surely were no less inspired than those who are widely acclaimed for their credentials. In fact, personal experiences of faith can give a depth to songs that cannot be matched by mere training. With that in mind, we are reminded to give thanks to GOD above all for such a rich musical inheritance.
