In the 1960s a family from the Nazarene churches in Europe felt called to move to Sweden to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A church was born and as a result, the need for the sound doctrine and beautiful expressions of faith in hymn arose. The Swedish translation of the some of the Zion’s Harp and Heft were completed in 2017 and were printed with a simple ring binding and clear plastic covers. The Zion's Harp is bound separately from the Heft and the Swedish Heft hymnal is titled Zion's Harp hymns 254-364. The work of the rest of the translation and binding into a proper hymnal is ongoing.
Currently, there is only one small congregation in Sweden, located at Östra Ljungby, 4216 Klippan, that uses the hymnal.
