1. My faith gives joy and sweetest rest, Leads me to heaven and the blest, To Thee, my God and Father. The comfort of mortality Preserve with steadfast faith in me; I’d follow Thee forever. Salvation is the noblest part; Impress this deeply on my heart.
2. Lord, for Thy fold Thou dost prepare A right unto Thy kingdom there, A treasure and possession. The second death I need not fear, For immortality is near; Thy death gives us salvation. I am redeemed! Thy mortal pain Has brought for me eternal gain.
3. My praise and thanks I give to Thee, For through Thy grace Thou makest me An heir by Thy adoption. Within the Word Thy truth I find Which sanctifies my life and mind And brings me to perfection. Yes, born anew in heart I feel; Thy Spirit, Lord, does this reveal.
4. Thy holy Word does teachings give In faith and hope, and love to live; For this, O, Lord, I thank Thee. Should I not seek within this time A foretaste of the joys divine And for Thy home prepare me? Salvation is the noblest part; Impress this deeply on my heart.
