1. Come, come, sweet rest, Which leads to God And brings us to our blessed Saviour. In that blest place, Where face to face, The ransomed host sings to God’s praise and favor.
2. Hence vanity, E’en world and time! My heart longs for its home in heaven. Here tears oppress, But all distress Shall change to joy when His reward is given.
3. Thou city pure With walls secure, With precious jewels brightly beaming; Celestial lights Are shining bright; The light from God and the blest Lamb is streaming.
4. The holiness, That pure white dress, Is there Thy host with grace adorning. Our thanks and praise To God we’ll raise, With joyful songs of gratitude resounding.
5. Come, come, sweet rest, Us from distress, From cross and sorrow to deliver. Eternity where we shall be United with eternal joys forever.
