1. Quiet Lamb and Prince of Peace, Thirst for Thee shall never cease! Oh be near, Shepherd dear, That my heart be strong, no more to sin or fear!
2. May I love Thee faithfully, Childlike and obediently; May my mind ever find Favor to submit to Thy will, Lord so kind!
3. With a gentle spirit bless That is full of kindliness, That in me it may be The adornment, precious, and of worth to Thee.
4. Grant that I may here be brave, Loving Thee unto the grave, That in pain, storm and rain, I may be a lamb and lion in Thy name.
5. Keep me ever spotless, free, And that I may wakeful be, Oft to pray, night and day, And to travel faithfully the narrow way.
6. Lamb of God, who overcame, Give me grace in Jesus’ name, That in Thee I may be Able, through Thy blood, to win the victory.
7. Lead me then, when I must go Through death’s valley here below; Lord, in death give me faith, And protect and strengthen me in my last breath.
8. When Thou stand’st on Zion’s height, Grant that I stand at Thy right, From pain free, cleansed in Thee, Where Thou wilt, O Lamb, my light and temple be.
