Joshua Stegmann
1588-1633
Stegmann was born September 14, 1588, in Sulzfeld, Germany. In 1608, he entered the University of Leipzig and attained such positions as superintendent at Schaumberg, and pastor at Stadthagen. When he was 35, he was forced to flee during the outbreak of the war. After 4 years he was able to return to a position in the Lutheran clergy at Schaumberg. Stegmann died from fever on August 3, 1632, at the age of 45 in Rinteln, Germany.
