1. O blissful hour and holy, When in God’s cov’nant truly Through Christ’s blood I did pass. There was I blest forever, From Satan’s realm was severed, When I received that holy bath.
2. According to God’s pleasure, Christ’s grace in richest measure He did on me bestow. There was to me accorded The holy gift afforded, When Jesus Christ I learned to know.
3. Joined to His congregation In blest association, Washed in His precious blood, From ev’ry bold transgression I now find consolation; How kind and merciful is God!
4. I was with Him related And in His fold instated, A lamb of Jesus’ flock, Which is in Christ united, And through His wounds requited; I anchor now upon this rock.
